Jay Caufield

John Jay Caufield is an American former NHL right winger. Jay was raised in the Towamencin Township, Pennsylvania, area about a mile outside of Lansdale borough. He graduated from North Penn High School.

Caufield was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of North Dakota where he played football. He later signed with the New York Rangers in 1985 and was assigned to the Toledo Goaldiggers of the IHL.
